This loop will take cyclists on a ride exploring the cities of Belleville and Quinte West, arching north from the Bay of Quinte and through Hastings County. Starting in Belleville, or alternatively Quinte West, this itinerary can also be paired with the Bay of Quinte – East route for a longer ride and multi-day adventure.
From bustling city centres and views across the vast waters of the Bay of Quinte and to Prince Edward County, the route follows a part of the historic Trent-Severn Waterway. Visit a number of locks dotted along the Trent River, and ride on through gently rolling hills, past farms new and old, that the quiet countryside on the northern portion of this route. Return to the Bay from Foxboro south alongside Moira River and consider a stop to enjoy the views from the patio of a popular craft brewery, just 10km from a Belleville finish. Follow trails into the city and visit the shops on Front Street and the shoreline parks that stretch along the waterfront.
